Founded in 1687, Ishim is a city which stands on the banks of the river of the same name in Tyumen region. Until 1782, it was called Korkina Sloboda. The exhibition of the Yershov Museum Complex of Ishim City familiarizes the visitors with the history of this region. The oldest exhibits were dated to 60 million years ago — those are fossils of ancient mollusks that lived here during the dinosaur era.
The exhibition also displays clay sculpture — one of the first artworks of the early humans. Among the exhibits, one can see household items of the Ishim people, ancient weapons and sculptures, as well as books and portraits of the famous native of these lands — writer Pyotr Yershov.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
