The Museum of the 112th Bashkir (16th Guards) Cavalry Division presents a rich and unique collection dedicated to the history of the legendary division from its formation. The exhibition displays dioramas, household items of the war period, personal belongings and awards of cavalrymen. The museum houses a large archive of photos and documents. Authentic exhibits and copies, captured items, Soviet weapons, examples of military uniforms and much more were used to create the exhibition. Special attention is paid to the first division commander, Major General Minigali Mingazovich Shaymuratov, who greatly contributed to the establishment of the division. During the Great Patriotic War, the 112th Bashkir Cavalry Division under the command of Major General Minigali Shaymuratov won a number of victories on the Bryansk, Voronezh, Southwestern Fronts, as well as in the brutal fighting of the Battle of Stalingrad.
