The Kolokolnikovs’ Estate Museum is located in the only classic merchant mansion, preserved in Tyumen. The permanent exhibition of the estate museum is called ‘The History of the House in 19th-20th centuries’. It is dedicated to the history of the Ikonnikov and Kolokolnikov merchant families, the former owners of the estate, as well as to historical events that took place in the house.
For example, in 1837, the future Emperor Alexander II, whose entourage included the famous poet Vasily Zhukovsky, stayed at the estate during his journey across Russia. And in 1919, the estate housed the headquarters of the Civil War hero, Marshal Vasily Blyukher.
