The exhibition ‘Ingushetia through the centuries’ tells about the culture of the Ingush people. Visitors can see in the museum old household items, arts and crafts items, paintings, and sculptures created by masters of the 18th — 21st centuries.
The collection includes works by contemporary artists Murat Polonkoev, Khozh-Ahmed Imagozhev, Zelimkhan Esmurziev, Bashir and Aishat Daurbekovs, Yusup Khamchiev, Bekhan Dakhkilgov, Magomed-Bashir Ozdoev, and other famous artists. Many of the canvases depict old customs and the ancient architecture of the Ingush.
Visitors will see traditional folk dresses recreated in great detail, their jewelry, old cold weapons, and firearms. They will also learn why the dagger is so important for the highlanders and how ancestral towers look in the mountainous regions.
