The exhibition presents items and collections that allow us to understand the life and writing career of Vitaly Zakrutkin and the times of his family, friends, and country.
The most prominent space of the museum’s exhibition is the writer’s office, where all the authentic belongings of Zakrutkin and his family have been preserved: furniture, manuscripts, library, photographs and gifts, including valuable and rare books with dedications from famous people, like the writer’s friend Mikhail Sholokhov.
The next hall of the museum is the recreation room, full of exhibits dedicated to the front-line path of the war correspondent Zakrutkin, his front-line friends and awards.
In the Zakrutkins’ living room, visitors can
immerse themselves in the writer’s creative laboratory, read his favorite poems
and hear fragments of his works, which are highlighted during tours. The living
room also hosts poetry meetings, celebrations of various holidays, and
dramatizations of literary works, allowing guests to meet the characters of
Gogol, Chekhov, Sholokhov, and Zakrutkin.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
