The exhibition ‘Tobolsk Provincial Museum ’ is dedicated to the Tobolsk Provincial Museum and its first collections. The exhibits are located in the old building of the museum, which was built in 1890 with donations from Tobolsk residents.
Among the exhibits, there are the very first artifacts of the museum, such as a sacrificial stone in the shape of a ram, a Scythian acenaces, and cult items that belonged to a shaman and were among the items from the Istyatsky Trove found at the end of the 19th century on the post road.
The exhibition also features clothing, musical instruments, and household items of indigenous peoples of the North, including a model of the summer Khanty chum and reindeer sleds, shaman costume and tambourine, and a collection of miniature bone figures.
40 exhibits for recognition are marked with AR stickers.
