The exhibition in the Yusupov gallery’s halls introduces the history of the Yusupovs — the oldest princely family to the visitors. The family representatives were friends with the imperial family, gathered the richest art collections, participated in the creation of the Hermitage collection, and improved many estates. The Rakityansky estate owned by the Yusupovs from 1729 to 1917 was also included in their possession.
Printed copies of various grandees’ famous portraits are displayed in the gallery’s six halls. Each exhibit spotlighted interesting facts from the princes’ biography. There are copies of the archival photographs at the exhibition helping to trace the history of the Rakityansky district from the 17th century to the present day.
