The exhibition ‘Vladimir Lenin House-Museum’ is located in the house, which was owned by the Ulyanovs in 1878-1887. This provincial manor house with its garden, workshop and playground is an important part of the Lenin Memorial. It was here that the educator Ilya Ulyanov lived and worked, Vladimir Lenin, as well as his brothers and sisters, spent their childhood and school years.
In 1923, the Lenin Historical and Revolutionary Museum was established in the house, and in 1928-1929 it was restored and transformed into the Lenin Memorial House Museum. The Ulyanovs themselves — Anna, Dmitry and Maria, as well as family friends and contemporaries — helped to restore the interiors and gather a collection of authentic items.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
