The exhibition “Ancient Cultures of the Trans-Ural Steppe” is dedicated to a unique page in the history of the Great Eurasian Steppe. The central theme of the exhibition is “The Land of Cities” — archaeological monuments of the Sintashta Culture, which emerged at the turn of the II millennia BC, indicating the greatest center of cultural genesis of the ancient Indo-European peoples.
The visitors will learn about the achievements of architecture, planigraphy, metallurgy, rituals and traditions of the Bronze Age, the world’s oldest chariots and the most famous settlement of Arkaim.
The collection also covers other periods of the history of the Southern Urals — from the Stone Age to the nomadic era — and describes the ancient cultures that left their footprint on this territory.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
