The exposition of Tchaikovsky House-Museum details the life of the prominent Russian composer through everyday items, as well as portraits and photographs of people who surrounded him at different time periods. This country home in Klin is where Tchaikovsky found the best environment for his creative work. The eclecticism and the abundance of objects in the composer’s rooms on the second floor were typical of the 1880–1890s interiors.
Exhibits include cabinets for books and sheet music, a desk, a bed, travel trunks, sculptures, statuettes, and desk essentials, as well as posters, programs, letters, and diaries. The museum’s exceptionally vast and unique collection offers an unparalleled insight into the life and work of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
