‘The fascinating natural world of Kuzbass’ is a permanent exhibition at the Promyshlennovsky District Museum of History and Regional Studies. It shares with visitors the diversity of the natural world of Kuzbass. Carnivores and herbivores that inhabit forests of Kemerovo Oblast as well as various birds that nest in the region are on display at the exhibition.
Here, visitors can see the brown bear, that rules taiga, as well as another forest giant, the elk. The powerful grey wolf and the graceful Siberian lynx are also on display. One can also learn about the lives of Bohemian waxwings, owls, Eurasian capercaillie and other birds in our woodlands. The museum often hosts events dedicated to the environment that encourage locals to learn more about their region and to become more mindful of the natural world.
