The exhibition “Altai and Outer Space” consists of several sections. In one of them, visitors can learn about the general history of astronautics: from the time people first dreamed about conquering space to the moment when it actually happened, and Yuri Gagarin became the first human to journey into outer space in April 1961.
Another section is dedicated to the heroic journey of Gherman Titov: how he became a cosmonaut, prepared for his historic mission, and spent the legendary twenty-four hours in space, and what his life was like after the space mission.
The exhibition also provides a lot of information about the people around the famous cosmonaut, including his family, friends, relatives, and members of the local community.
In Altai Krai, the memory of Gherman Titov is cherished with the greatest affection.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
