The first exhibition hall dedicated to Gherman Titov was opened in 1965. The museum was founded by the cosmonaut’s father Stepan Pavlovich Titov — a teacher and an enlightener.
Currently, the museum complex includes the building of the seven-year school where Gherman Titov studied during the post-war years and the new building with exhibition halls and museum depository.
The museum halls present the cosmonaut’s personal possessions, school supplies, writing accessories, awards, and photographs. The exhibition includes models of space equipment, space food, the Sokol K space suit, and other items related to space exploration.
The museum also houses the L-29 jet trainer and the Soyuz TMA-21 descent module.
