The master puts shiny plates-blanks of future cup holders under the press for applying an impression of the pattern, aligns each one manually. The edges of the product are fastened together by high-temperature gas welding. The bottom is connected to the walls by bending their edges on a special machine. Bending the handle is a manual operation.

The history of cup holders began in Pre-Revolutionary Russia, at that time women drank tea from porcelain cups, but men were allowed to drink this popular hot drink only from glass glasses. Accordingly, the tea was too hot, the glass was heating up, so it was necessary to come up with some kind of device so that men could drink tea calmly without worrying about being able to burn their palms. Someone believes that it was for this reason and at this time that cup holders were invented, and someone thinks otherwise, but in any case, no one knows the exact date of the appearance of cup holders. In addition, at the time when the first cup holders appeared, they were not accepted as something worthy and very useful, because they looked very unrepressible.

All Soviet cup holders were equipped with a stamp, which indicated the material, price, manufacturer. The price was not indicated on the stands from the state order, produced for the needs of passenger trains, military units and other government agencies, since they were not intended for free sale.

Factories for the production of stands were located in every major city of the country. A large number of cup holders were purchased by the Ministry of Railways. Tea was served in cup holders on trains, which was convenient and safe. Accessories were made of standard diameter, regardless of the place of manufacture.
