The painting ‘In remembrance of I.A. BUnin’ has its in-depth philosophy and deep meaning. It attracts at first glance and makes you think about this great Russian writer, his difficult life. All the elements of the picture are painted on a dark background which looks like darkening twilight, and are deeply symbolic in their meaning. In the center there is an old chair from a noble estate with a broken top, which immediately brings the thoughts about Russia of old times, which was lost. Ripe antOnovka apples are placed on its seat and glow like a golden spot, YelEts District used to be well known for these wonderful apples. Next to them in a glass of spring water there is a branch of wormwood, symbolizing the bitter feeling of leaving the homeland. And above them in the right corner there is a portrait of young Bunin. The talent of this artist made it possible to show the main features of IvAn AleksEevich: aristocracy, insight, intelligence, observation. The picture devoted to the genius exile brings the thoughts of how quick and unpredictable life is, and what trace a person leaves behind.
