Mamiya-16 is a miniature 16-mm camera. It was produced by the Japanese company Mamiya from 1949 to 1950. The camera used 16-mm non-perforated film, packed in cassettes of 20 frames. Cassettes were produced in different types: double (as for ‘Vega-2’), separate, metal, plastic. Lack of a standard for cassettes, incompatibility of cassettes from different manufacturers, as well as difficulties in purchasing film for Mamiya-16 led to a sharp drop in demand for this camera and the termination of its release.
