The sheet contains the final summary of the contents of four Atlas’ tantras arranged by subjects: a healthy person’s way of living, diseases’ classification, three methods of diseases’ diagnostics (examination of pulse and urine and questioning the patient) and four groups of medicaments.
The sheet starts with the allegorical image of a bowman. Rikle Eshe, the storyteller, tells that the ‘Four Books Tractate’ looks like an arrow flying from the bow with its sense of purpose. The agriculturist’s figure points at the fact that the art of healing revealed at the tractate is similar to agriculture. The medical tractate itself is shown at the end of the graph.
The images dedicated to the healthy way of living start from the next graph. In order to stay healthy, it is required to stay at the border between the sun and the shadow, to keep clear of exhaustible physical and mental activity, not consume any spoilt products.
The third graph has images of two big groups of diseases: fever and cold diseases. Tibetan medicine points out 404 different diseases and 3 methods of diagnostics. The medical agents are described lower. In general, there’s 1002 ‘healing friends’ that are divided into 4 groups: medications, procedures, dietary regime and behavior. All medications are divided into the ‘calming ones’ and the ‘purifying ones’. The described healing methods include 360 different ways of healing and are reduced to the proper diagnostics (based on pulse, urine and the questioning results), defining the right medical agents good for curing the noted disease and preparing the medicaments, executing the medical procedures and prescribing the needed dietary regime.
Further there’s a set of illustrations of the treatment process used for regeneration of the normal balance of physiological base of a healthy organism along with classification of medical agents based on their therapeutic modality, the level of body protection and protection of people’s lives from the malicious spirits’ tortious acts.
The last graph contains the text in Tibetan explaining the contents of the sheet.
