The different medical components of animal nature are shown at the illustration such as components made of horns, bones, meat, blood, bile, fat, brains, leather, clutches, fur, urine, excrements of different representatives of an animal world. Furthermore, the medicaments were also made of some living creatures, namely the small ones such as insects, caterpillars, snakes, blister-beetles, crabs, water rats and the others.

The title of each medical component is accompanied with its characteristics. For example, the horn of the rhinoceros can differ by color (white, colored and black). The best one in terms of its medical qualities is the white horn, the worst one is the black horn. The horn of the rhinoceros can dry the infected fluid, blood and ‘white water’ in the chest, it is also good to take when poisoned. The horns of the deer have the similar qualities. The wolf’s stomach produces the body heat and helps in case of indigestion. Wolf’s tongue heals the tongue’s tumors, the dog’s tongue helps to heal the wounds, the donkey’s tongue helps to stop the diarrhea. Light foxes and swallows help to heal the caverns in lungs. The hen’s meat stops the vomit and suppresses the diseases brought by the malicious spirits. The small birds’ and the Iberian mountain lizard’s meat helps to increase physical strength. The deer’s blood can be used to stop uterine bleeding and goat’s blood cures the venereal diseases and pox.

Bile of all kinds tightens the holes of the traumatized blood vessels, cures the muscular tissue damages, produces new muscular tissue, cures intoxications and is useful in case of the eye diseases. The hare’s brain cures intestinal colic. The human brain was also used in Tibetan medicine, it was believed that it could cure the tumors and the “yellow water” diseases. The human excrements cure the intoxication, bile diseases, scirrhus and tumors. Dog’s or wolf’s excrements and snowcock’s droppings cure the tumors.
