The Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy is located in a building constructed in the Baroque style in 1777–1779. The Voronezh Palace is a cultural monument of federal significance with a historical building layout.
The collection of the Voronezh Art Museum is based on the items of the former Provincial Museum and the Museum of Antiquities and Fine Arts of Voronezh University. From 1933 to 1984, the museum was called the Museum of Fine Arts, today it bears the name of the painter Ivan Nikolaevich Kramskoy, a native of the Voronezh region.
