Ramenskoye History and Art Museum is the most important safe keeper and collector of the history of the Ramenskiy region.
The museum’s history dates back to 1929 when it was established in the Church of Saints Boris and Gleb, the first stone building of Ramenskoye, erected in the early 18th century. The backbone of the museum collection is made up of items from the manors of the Bronnitsky Uyezd (administrative subdivision). The earliest exhibits included works of fine art, furniture, and household items.
The museum’s collection is updated annually. Collections span paintings, ceramics, coins, and various equipment.
Today, the museum is housed in a building dating back to the latter half of the 19th century, which used to be a dormitory for families of the local paper mill employees.
