The story of the Oryol Museum of Local History began in 1897. For many years of its existence, the museum managed to change several addresses until, in 1932, it moved to the Trade Rows, a mid-19th century heritage site. Here it continues to work today.
Over more than 120 years, the exhibition of the Oryol Museum of Local History have changed many times, reflecting the spirit of their time. However, their basis continues to be collections of original exhibits housed in the museum’s funds.
