The Nevyansk State Historical and Architectural Museum was established in 2002 on the basis of the municipal Nevyansk Museum of Local Lore. Now it includes a unique monument of industrial architecture, the Demidov Leaning Tower, the Museum of the History of the Nevyansk Region, the Nizhneturinsk Local Lore Museum, and an exhibition hall.
The museum houses paintings, sculptures, numismatic collections, rare books and ancient documents, samples of folk art, archaeological and ethnographic materials. Exhibits and museum exhibitions provide information about the Demidov mining dynasty, the work of the Nevyansk plant, the life of artisans and their families, gold mining and metal processing.
