The history of the Nefteyugansk History and Art Museum Complex dates back to 1982. At that time, the public museum was founded in the city. In 1989, it became the City Museum of Local History, and then — the Museum of the Ob River. Nowadays, these museums are formed into one museum complex. Its exhibitions tell about the region’s history from the ancient time, about Siberia oil exploitation, about the culture of the people living on this land.
