The Museum-Estate of P. P. Semyonov-Tyan-Shansky was opened in 1997. The main exhibition focuses on the scientific and state life of the geographer Pyotr Petrovich Semyonov-Tyan-Shansky and his family.
It is situated in the estate, which was built according to the plan of Pyotr Nikolaevich Semyonov, the father of the scientist. The estate also has a servants' house, a carriage house, and an icehouse.
The memorial items that belonged to Pyotr Semyonov-Tian-Shansky himself, as well as to his wife and other family members, are in the collection of the museum-estate. Among them, there are photographs, rocks brought from the Tyan Shan, numerous scientific works of the geographer.
