The Pavlov estate in Ryazan consists of two houses, a yard, outbuildings, a summerhouse, a Russian steam bath, a well, playgrounds for croquet and gorodki, as well as a large orchard. The visitors can learn about the wise upbringing of the children in the priest’s family, imagine life with a coal samovar, copperware and pottery, look in an old mirror and imagine reading books with the light from a kerosene lamp. The sounds of recited poems, old romances and classical music can still be heard in the estate, just as it was back in the academician’s childhood.

Ivan Pavlov’s discoveries in the field of human physiology and nervous activity constituted the main stages in the development of medicine in the 20th century.
