Cinema museum

The renovated State Central Film Museum opened its doors in VDNKh pavilion No. 36 on October 20, 2017. The facility houses museum collections and comprises six exhibition areas, an educational center, and three cinema halls where movies from the museum collection are screened weekly. The museum collections include costumes, photographs, posters, show bills, drafts, drawings, filmstrips, rare books, photo and video equipment, and personal belongings of famous figures of the Russian movie industry from the 19th century to the present day. The museum collections total 169,000 items. The movie library is the central part of the collection: the Film Museum owns a lot of unique movie reels.
