The Omsk Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after M. A. Vrubel is known as the largest art collection in Siberia. Its collection includes Russian and foreign art works from antiquity to the present day: paintings by outstanding artists, sculpture, the graphic arts, prints, palace furniture, porcelain, glass, rare print publications and other unique items of art.
The museum was founded on December 21, 1924. The former General-Governor’s Palace became a place for a new art gallery opened as a part of the West Siberian Regional Museum.
