The museum is dedicated to the life and creative work of the poet Yevgeniy Boratynskiy — philosopher, master of elegy, friend of Alexander Pushkin. It is located in a wooden nobility manor built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The collection of the museum contains the memorabilia of several generations of the Boratynskiy family.
Also, the original 19th-century interiors — high ceilings, white columns, ceiling stucco work, oven with fancy intricate tiles — were recreated here. Of particular interest is the living room in which the Boratynskiy family met famous guests — the writer Ivan Bunin, the painters Nikolay Feshin and Alexander Fomin, the poet Alexander Pushkin. The museum is considered a monument of architecture and history.
