The Syzran Museum of Local History and Lore in Syzran is one of the oldest museums in the Samara Governorate that was created in 1923–1925 at the initiative of amateur local historians Nikolai Guriev and Ivan Vladimirov.

The museum’s collection features historical and cultural artifacts, archaeological finds, paintings, coins, and ethnographic exhibits that represent the heritage of the peoples of Russia. The modern exposition has two thematic sections: one devoted to natural sciences and the other one to history and ethnography. Of special significance is the collection of items that used to belong to the Usolye estate of counts Orlov-Davydov.
