The Historical and Cultural Kolomna Kremlin Museum-Reserve was established in 2014. It consists of three departments: the Local History Museum, the Museum of Military Glory, and the Estate of Merchants Lazhechnikov.
The Local History Museum is located in the center of the Kolomna Kremlin, in the 19th century buildings. Its authentic antiques and archival documents tell the story of Kolomna from ancient times to the 20th century.
Museum of Military Glory was opened in 1977, the year of the 800th anniversary of Kolomna. The museum includes the Hall of Memory and Glory, as well as a historical exhibition devoted to the military history of Kolomna from the time of Dmitry Donskoy to the events of the 20th century.
The memorial exhibition “Estate of merchants Lazhechnikov” honors the life and work of writer Ivan Lazhechnikov and his family.
