The Kolomna Kremlin, a monument of architecture and fortification, was built under the supervision of Italian architects over a period of six years; the construction was completed in 1531. Seven of the sixteen towers have survived to this day.

The Kolomna Museum of Local History is annually visited by more than 50,000 people, more than 2,000 events of international, interregional and regional levels are held.
The Museum of Military Glory was opened in 1977, which was the 800th anniversary of Kolomna. The museum includes the Hall of Memory and Glory and a historical exhibition devoted to the military history of Kolomna from the time of Dmitry Donskoy to the events of the 20th century.
The Estate of the merchants Lazhechnikovs is a historical monument of the mid-18th to 19th centuries of regional significance. The exhibition describes the life and work of the writer Ivan Lazhechnikov and his family. A unique Center for Museum Technologies was created on the basis of the department, presenting the best museum projects in Russia.
