The ‘Gamayun’ Museum Center was opened in 1994. Its name refers to the character of Russian folklore — the bird Gamayun. It is the keeper of folk legends and the patroness of masters.
The center became the first museum in the Ural region with a collection of naive and amateur art of Russia. Every year it holds about 30 exhibitions, where you can see paintings by amateur artists, original and traditional toys made of wood, fabric and clay, works of decorative and applied art: lace, embroidery, jewelry, stone and bead products, and much more.
The museum has classes for painting, textiles, and artistic stone cutting, studios for lace weaving, clay modeling, patchwork, and knitting. There are regular workshops, training seminars, creative meetings, festivals, and fairs.
