The Masharov’s House Museum is an old mansion built in the neoclassical style, that used to belong to Nikolay Dmitrievich Masharov, a well-known Tyumen industrialist, a co-founder of the iron foundry in Tyumen. The museum building has the status of an architectural monument of the late 19th — early 20th century and is famous for its richly decorated facades and interiors.
There is a tradition of hosting musical events at the House of N.D. Masharov, and temporary exhibitions are regularly opened, taking place in the intimate atmosphere of a cozy hall of the merchant’s mansion.
The “Family Album” permanent exhibition is dedicated to family life of the late 19th century. On a tour of the city mansion of the late 19th — early 20th century, visitors can see authentic objects of a bygone era, as well as learn about the rules of upbringing and etiquette in a traditional Tyumen family.
