The Bryansk Regional Art Museum was opened in 1968. The collection was based on paintings, drawings, sculptures and objects of decorative and applied art, transferred from the regional Museum of Local History.
Today, the exposition presents works of folk arts and crafts, including embroidery by Bryansk masters, as well as works of crystal and glass from the Dyatka Crystal Plant.
We are particularly proud of the works of fine art. The museum houses paintings by Vasily Polenov, Alexei Savrasov, Alexander Deineka, Aristarkh Lentulov and other famous artists of the XIX-XX centuries.
For more than half a century the collection has been regularly replenished. Today, holdings of the museum make up more than ten thousand storage units.
