A.P. Chekhov. Going to Crimea. Be in Yalta
#2
Anton Pavlovich Chekhov has one of the most important places among the significant figures in world culture. His works have been translated into many languages, filmed and presented on the stage of theaters around the world. Chekhov was an outstanding writer and a public figure.

It is not by chance that Yalta is called the ‘City of Chekhov’. The great writer, who lived here for the last five years of his life, had a huge impact on the life of the city. In honor of him, 5 objects are named in Yalta: a street, a theater, a library, a school, and a sanatorium. The works recognized as the best of Chekhov’s — “The Student”, “The Darling”, “Three Sisters”, “The Bishop”, “The Lady with the Dog”, “Cherry Orchard” — were written in Yalta.

The exhibition contains photographs, documents, exhibits telling about Chekhov’s life and work.
