The exhibition of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum of Local Lore unites artifacts of archeological, ethnographic, art, documentary and natural science sources. They are separated by tens of thousands of years, but share a common territory of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.
The exhibition “Tales of the Land of Yenisey” features paintings by Vasily Surikov juxtaposed with a dinosaur skeleton, rock art with an icon of the Transfiguration of the Lord, and a stuffed wooly rhinoceros with a set of Art Nouveau wooden furniture.
The permanent exhibition includes halls devoted to the most ancient civilizations on the banks of the Yenisey, the indigenous peoples of the North, the development of Siberia by the Russians, the nature of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, paleontology, the history of the Yeniseysk Governorate and the Soviet past of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
