The Astrakhan Collection of Russian Art exhibition brings together multiple works of unknown Russian painters of the 19th and 20th centuries. The display highlights the major changes occurring in the Russian art of that period.
The gallery visitors will find full official and intimate portraits made by Dmitry Levitsky, Feodor Rokotov, and Vasily Tropinin; large lyrical landscapes by Ivan Shishkin, Alexey Savrasov, and Isaak Levitan; find out about the distinctive artistic style of Russian impressionist painter Konstantin Korovin, of symbolist painters Nicolay Sapunov and Peter Utkin; and watch the birth of Russian avant-garde in the works of Vasily Kandinsky, Kazimir Malevich, and Olga Rozanova.
