The collection of the Russian Heritage Museum was described as follows, “Every artifact here is valuable, and there are many unexplored ones among them…”; “Ancient Russian textiles, woodblocks for printing on textiles, ritual cloths, towels, and other items make up this unparalleled collection.”
The museum’s exhibition includes approximately 1,300 examples of various folk crafts, jewelry, household items, and clothing.
Icons of the 15th–19th centuries and religious items are widely represented as well.
The exhibits allow visitors to trace the evolution of materials used in folk decorative and applied arts, such as wood carving, painting, artistic forging, and metal enameling.
The museum displays objects made of precious metals, glass, and porcelain as well as examples of weaving and traditional costumes.
In addition to Russian-made
items, the exhibition presents objects from China, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan,
and Persia that illustrate the diversity of decorative, applied, and jewelry
arts.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
