Works of Art from Tambov Estates

The exhibition Works of Art from Tambov Estates presents paintings from private collections of Count Pavel Stroganov, the scientist Boris Chicherin and the Vorontsov family. The exposition includes paintings by Russian masters, Italian artists of the 16th to 19th centuries, as well as representatives of Dutch, Flemish and Dutch art of the 16th to 17th centuries. Among them are seascapes by Ivan Aivazovsky, historical compositions by Pavel Bryullov, portraits by Fedor Rokotov and Valentin Serov, and artworks by the ‘Little Dutchman’ Jan van Goyen. These and other exhibits are represented in the permanent exhibition of the Tambov Regional Picture Gallery.
