In the Human Space Exploration hall the museum’s permanent exhibition tells the history of the Soviet and Russian space program, from its origins to the present day. Visitors can see equipment used by cosmonauts, and learn about the unique features of work and life in zero-gravity conditions on board space stations and spacecraft.
The exhibits include models of rockets and spacecraft, original spacesuits and protective clothing, everyday items used by cosmonauts in space, and complex equipment that has actually been in space. Visitors can learn how solar batteries are constructed, how a space pen writes in zero gravity, and how to operate a spacecraft and a “space motorcycle”.
