The permanent exhibition of the Moscow Museum provides visitors with the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the capital from the founding of the city to the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition focuses on the everyday life of Muscovites of different eras and estates.
The Timeline, supplemented with multimedia videos, games, video interviews and infographics, is a reference point for visitors. It introduces the brightest and most unusual exhibits from the collection — there are over 2,000 of them at the exhibition. The main section of the exhibition also includes a Children’s Timeline Route — a special route with drawers and lockers with children’s toys of the corresponding historical period. The permanent exhibition is complemented by temporary pavilions, where research teams present expanded historical narratives about Moscow and its inhabitants.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
