‘Along the River of Time’ is one of the largest local history exhibitions in the Tomsk region. It has exhibits from the Paleolithic era to the present day: stone arrowheads and ceramic pottery used for rituals, old printed books, ancient icons, and household items from Russian settlements, memorabilia of settlers and residents of Seversk. Many of these items were collected in expeditions.
The exhibition shows the history of the region: from the settlement of the first people on the banks of the Tom River to the construction of the plant for the production of weapons-grade plutonium and the modern history of Seversk.
The first part of the exhibition is devoted to local archaeological cultures and ethnography. These exhibits tell us about the people who used to live in the region. The second part of the exhibition presents items connected with the history of the city.
