The exhibition titled “Sheet Music for Sculpture” presents Russian, Soviet and Western sculptures of the 18th–20th centuries from the collections of the Tambov Regional Art Gallery.
The collection of sculptures currently consists of 210 exhibits. According to documents, the gallery contains works that were once housed in the art department of the special library of the Tambov Public Readings Society. It also presents sculptures that used to belong to the nobility and were nationalized after the revolution.
In the 20th century, the sculpture collection became larger, welcoming exhibits from private collections and donations to the gallery. The exhibition “Sheet Music for Sculpture” is organized in accordance with geography: each hall is dedicated to the works of a single country — Russia, Italy, France, Germany, and the USSR. The exhibits are marked with the AR (augmented reality) sign for recognition.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
