The opening of the Military Glory Museum in Noyabrsk in 2010 was an important event for the entire Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The central exhibition was dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
Various enterprises and organizations, search parties, entrepreneurs and ordinary residents of Noyabrsk helped to compile the exhibits. Residents whose relatives fought at the front and worked in the rear donated many items to the museum, for instance original documents and photographs, letters, awards, and personal belongings.
In 2014, the museum became part of the Museum Resource Center of Noyabrsk, and in 2020, the exhibit was modernized. Presently, at the exhibition project ‘Heroic Victory’, visitors can see a collection of military equipment and household items of the Red Army and Wehrmacht soldiers, hold a Mosin-Nagant rifle in their hands, and learn about the contribution of Yamal and its residents to the Victory.
