“Landscape Legacy of Andrey Kurnakov” is the exhibition of the memorial studio of the famous Oryol artist, which presents a wide variety of his works.
The collection includes urban landscapes created under the impression from trips to the most beautiful cities of Europe, as well as numerous views of the artist’s native Oryol region, especially of the Spasskoye-Lutovinovo village — the estate of the famous writer Ivan Turgenev, where everything seems to be imbued with poetry.
The artist also paints his small homeland — the courtyard of his studio with birch trees, laundry flapping in the wind, and neighbor’s chickens.
Kurnakov brings to life various picturesque scenes — the vast lands of Novgorod, the beauties of Crimea, the mountains of Georgia, and ancient monasteries.
His landscapes are sincere and touching. The artist saw profoundness and beauty even in the most ordinary, familiar everyday things in his paintings. Kurnakov’s works radiate the unfeigned and fascinatingly genuine love for the Motherland.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
