The XXI century has just begun, and we do not know what awaits us ahead, but enough events have happened in the history of the district to dedicate an entire hall to it. After all, yesterday is already history. And gradually it will be supplemented with new exhibits and stories.
Industrialization
The construction of the Boguchanskaya HPP has been completed, the BoAZ aluminum plant has been launched, without exaggeration, the HPP has affected people’s lives. Like a medal, there are two sides: on the one hand, the environment has suffered and settlements have been flooded, on the other, jobs have appeared at enterprises. The hydroelectric dam occupies the central place of the hall and conditionally divides into two parts: a reservoir- a flooding zone, where household utensils and a whole layer of Angara culture going back into the past and the river, which has become completely different, seem to be under water.
Money
Everyone who has visited our museum has such an opportunity. The “money floor” has taken its place for a reason. Like a stream, money floats on the blue water of our Angara River, which is a resource, a nurse, and the pride of the local population. This is the monetary equivalent of what we lose in exchange for profit. After all, you need to be able to take responsibility for what is happening around you in order to preserve your home, your river, your homeland.
Boguchansky Aluminum Plant is one of the most modern and largest metallurgical enterprises in Russia. The plant is being built in the very center of the country — in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (Boguchansky district) on an area of more than 2.3 sq. km (231 ha). The first stage of production at the Boguchansky Aluminum plant was put into trial operation in 2016. The official opening of the first series of BOAZ took place in 2019 as part of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum.
An unusual wall with hollows and knots seems to be looking at us, as if it wants to tell us about something, and tells us with the sounds of wildlife. The hyperbolization technique was used in the design of this exhibition. A tree trunk magnified many times, covered with the bark of a real pine tree.
Having transferred the attention of visitors from the wall “Angarsk pine” to the floor, the guide continues the narrative, why is it decorated with sawn-offs. This is the territory reclaimed from the forest for arable land and the construction of houses. In fact, the idea conveyed by this type of design is very important. After all, most of the terrain is the taiga forest, it is both the strength, and the power, and the wealth of our region.
The post-war period for the Boguchansky district is characterized by the rapid development of the timber industry, timber farms and chemical forestry appear. Since 1975, our Boguchansky district has been classified as industrial. One by one, new logging villages are emerging: Manzia, Nevonka, Shiversky, Ridge, Govorkovo, Nizhnyaya Terya, the old ones are expanding and improving. The largest logging associations in the region are being created.
To this day, the forestry and woodworking industry is the main industry in the district.
Today, the largest logging enterprise in the district is the Kraslesinvest timber industry complex, the enterprise is located on the left bank of the Angara River, 16 km from the village of Boguchany. Since October 2021, Kraslesinvest JSC together with Taiga Boguchany LLC have been implementing a priority investment project in the field of forest development.
Since 2016, a sawmill has been in operation, and in 2019, the production of wood fuel pellets (pellets) has been launched. The commissioning of pulp and wood chemical production is planned by 2026.
1990-2020. The only TV and radio company “Spectrum” existed in Boguchansky district. Which covered all the significant events of the district. Since its birth, the TV company has gone through several reorganizations. Over the years, the company’s arsenal has created its own information and entertainment programs designed for a wide variety of audiences. The XXI century has just begun, and we do not know what awaits us ahead, but enough events have happened in the history of the district to dedicate an entire hall to it.
