The exhibition “Idnakar Hillfort in the 9th–13th Centuries” has been prepared for over 25 years. It was based on the results of archaeological research of the Idnakar hillfort, and the main purpose of the exhibition is to introduce the important Udmurt landmark to a wide range of visitors.
The exhibition lays out the history of the medieval hillfort and describes the activities, arts and crafts, hunting, battles, everyday life, hobbies, spiritual values and worldview of its inhabitants. Each item tells its own story, be it an extant piece of fabric, a tiny ear pick, ornate Byzantine jewelry or a mysterious musical instrument.
The diorama “Idnakar Settlement in its Heyday” presents a view of the hillfort and its surroundings and allows the visitors to travel back a thousand years and imagine themselves in a completely different era.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
