From ancient times, the peoples of the Far East were constantly fighting for the territories of the Prikhankai plain, on which the Spassky district is located. Here, in the area of Lake Khanka, the oldest traces of humans in Primorye have been found.
In the exhibition hall “Prehistoric Past of the Spassky Land, ” visitors can learn about the history of human settlement in the region from the Paleolithic era to the developed Middle Ages.
Local historians and archaeologists Fyodor Trigub and Andrey Nadtok made a significant contribution to the creation of the exhibition. They donated many ancient artifacts to the museum that they found in the Spassky and Chernigov districts.
The archaeological collection of the museum is constantly replenished
with artifacts, and the exhibition is modernized.
